Energy Days 2026 brings together more than 100 speakers in Santiago who will present the latest developments in renewable energies, energy efficiency and digitalization.
The president of Cluergal, together with the Director General of Energy Planning, the Iberdrola representative in Galicia, and the CEO of Genesal Energy, will inaugurate the Energy Days forum at the City of Culture, at 9:00 a.m. ECOticias.com is the official media partner of the event.
Companies, administrations, technology centers and professionals linked to energy will discuss tomorrow Wednesday about energy transition, decarbonization, storage and energy efficiency in the Galician industry.
Energy Days Arrive: From Galicia to the World
The Energy Days 2026 forum will transform Santiago de Compostela into the national meeting point for companies, administrations, technology centers and professionals linked to the energy sector over the next three days. More than a hundred prestigious speakers, eight debate panels, three specialized days and two seminars make up the broadest and most ambitious program across the three editions of this forum organized by the Galicia Renewable Energies Cluster (Cluergal).
This is so because Energy Days 2026 arrive at a decisive moment when the energy transition has ceased to be solely an environmental issue and has become a factor of competitiveness, strategic autonomy and territorial development. Challenges such as electrification of industry, expansion of data centers, electric mobility and the gradual substitution of fossil fuels are increasing the demand for clean energy and requiring more robust, flexible and digitized transmission networks.
“And Galicia has the renewable resources, industrial capabilities and specialized knowledge needed to play a leading role. However, this potential can only be realized through planning, investment, administrative agility and legal certainty,” explains Nonito Aneiros, secretary of Cluergal, who notes that “Energy Days, as the annual meeting point of the Galician energy ecosystem, will be that window to learn about projects, technologies and experiences developed outside Galicia.”
The Energy Days 2026 will be organized around 3 major thematic blocks: on Wednesday, September 30, it will be devoted to Energy Industries, with sessions on energy efficiency, storage and digitalization; on Thursday, October 1, it will focus on the Energy Cities, with presentations related to energy challenges in urban environments (buildings, mobility, sustainability…); and on Friday, October 2, it will be dedicated to Wind Galicia, where the current state of the wind energy sector will be examined.
Opening: September 30
The Energy Days 2026 will open their doors tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30 at the CINC Building in the City of Culture of Santiago de Compostela. The inauguration will take place at 9:00 a.m. with the participation of José Ramón Franco, president of Cluergal; Pablo Fernández Vila, Director General of Energy Planning and Mines of the Xunta de Galicia; Francisco Silva Castaño, Iberdrola’s delegate in Galicia; and Julio Arca Ruibal, CEO and CFO of Genesal Energy.
They will give way to the first four morning sessions of Energy Days 2026: energy transition (from 9:30 to 11:00), energy storage in industry (11:00 to 12:00), industrial decarbonization (12:30 to 13:00) and energy efficiency in industry (13:00 to 15:00).
In the afternoon, one of the novelties of the Energy Days 2026: the first day “Smart Industry and Energy”, organized by Cluergal and DIHGIGAL, which will analyze how digitization and new technologies can help industry reduce its energy consumption, improve its competitiveness and move towards more efficient and sustainable production models.
Through the four discussion tables of Energy Days 2026 there will be experiences and practical applications related to intelligent monitoring, energy management systems, artificial intelligence, integration of renewable energies and secure data exchange. The event will allow learning about solutions that are already generating measurable savings and new business opportunities in the industrial sector.
